NEW PM Designs and Art vs. Craft
I have been working hard getting ready for Art vs. Craft - a super cool show here in Milwaukee - which is next Saturday, November 26th. If you are in town, please come see me there! In the process of bulking up my inventory, I’ve added some new designs. Here are a few that I’ve added to the shop:
Custom Shower Invitations for Baby Savannah!
One of my friends from way back is having a little baby girl! I had the pleasure of designing her shower invitations and I am so happy with how they came out. The nursery doesn’t really have a theme, but a definite shabby-chic vibe with lots of florals and feminine touches. I think these will fit perfectly! Congrats to the little family - so excited for you.

Yay!!! We have a winner - who has been notified by email!
Congratulations on all of your little ones and THANKS for participating!
I am announcing a little giveaway from my Etsy shop! Yay! Gender announcing parties have been so in this year - I thought I would get in on the fun. (Seriously - is there anything more exciting than finding out if it’s a boy or a girl??)
The winner of my giveaway will receive a set of 10 “A Boy or A Girl” announcements from my shop. I can customize them to show a little blue or pink heart inside of each egg. It is a cute and memorable way to share your big news with friends and family. Please forward the contest to any expectant mommies or mommy blogs you know!

New Bon Iver Released Today
Do yourself a favor today and go pick up the new Bon Iver album, Bon Iver - via Jagjaguwar. The album is a quick forty minutes in length, but it is fantastic. NPR has been streaming the new album for a few weeks now, and I absolutely love it. Some early standouts are Perth and the heartbreaker, Holocene. Compared to For Emma, it is optimistic - but not lacking Justin Vernon’s signature sensitivity. Go. Purchase. Support midwestern music.
Snowy Saturday
It is the very first snow of the year here! Snowy days always send me into hibernation mode, which generally results in a huge amount of cooking. Today is no exception; I am hanging out with my pup, making vegetable soup and chocolate chip cookies! Here are some photos of our warm & cozy day…

StudioWisco Love!

Rachel of StudioWisco was kind enough to feature my Bicycle Built for Two card on her fantastic design blog. I’m a big fan of her site, so this was a pleasant surprise on this fine Friday!
One for the Road
I’ve got a fantastic roadtrip soundtrack prepared for my weekend jaunt. I wanted to post a video of my favorite song from the mix, Lifetime Piling Up (Talking Heads;) but alas, no such video exists.
Download the song if you don’t know it. Its the type of jam that might change your life. I’m trying to justify it as my wedding song one day. And with that, I’m off…see you Tuesday!
To the Woods
*Sigh*…I’m almost there. I’m getting an extended weekend, a minor but totally necessary break from the 9-5 world.
When my friends go on an extended weekend, they go to Vegas; not this girl. I’m fortunate that my family “owns” a small bit of land in western Wisconsin where my dad built a cabin. Its more like a house filled with most modern conveniences (no cable, no cell reception, no internet) but thats irrelevant; its my favorite piece of the planet. Its the kind of place where you can’t see your neighbors because there are acres of hills and forest between you. You look at the sky at night and think, “I had no idea there were so many stars.” You stop to listen and hear nothing. You go exploring in the woods and always find something beautiful. Again, its my most favorite place. One more day and I’m there. In honor of my much anticipated weekend, I’ve chosen some cabin themed items from the depths of Etsy. Check it out!

I know it all sounds so serene and perfect (it really is,) but the rock girl in me might have to give in to the Fever Marlene show Friday night in Madison. That will be sufficient noise for the weekend.
Hello, Broadway Paper
I’ve been in love with Broadway Paper, a Milwaukee Third Ward gem, for years now. If you appreciate the tactile experience of fine paper, the sound of heels on a hardwood floor and the visual/emotional journey of good design…well…you’d love Broadway Paper too. It is a fabulous experience from start to finish, not to mention that they have the best wrapping paper and card selection this side of the Mississippi.
That said, imagine my surprise when Broadway Paper owner, Tracie, contacted me with a request to carry some PaperMichelle designs. After the initial disbelief…I cried, sobbed, laughed and thought…”Oh gosh, I have obligations to someone!” Gulp. I immediately packed up some of my little darlings, wrapped them in plum tissue paper and sent them off to their new home.
In honor of this milestone, my personal photographer (cough, cough…boyfriend) and I took a field trip to visit the babies at Broadway Paper. We brought the super-serious camera and snapped many a photograph. (I think we freaked out a couple customers that thought they were in the middle of a photo shoot…sorry, BP!) It was a blast, however surreal. I was absolutely thrilled to see the cards hanging out in such a beautiful shop. In fact, I can’t think of a better place for them.
Please check out Broadway Paper’s website here.
