The Big 3-0 is Coming
It’s true. In a few short days, I will be thirty. THIRTY. I’m pretty much fine with it, since I feel like I’m about twelve. I just hate that OTHER people think thirty is old and that I should be settled by now. (They obviously haven’t heard - thirty is the new fifteen.) No matter what I think about the whole thing - it is a benchmark. Benchmarks are supposed to be celebrated with pretty clothes, right? I found these three stunners from Planetclairevintage - and any one of them will fit the birthday outfit requirement perfectly. Hint.
Weekend Vintage: Smells Like Teen Spirit
The 90s were a really amazing time - everything was acceptable; people felt free, fashion was strange and music was phenomenal. It feels like it wasn’t that long ago, but watching an episode of Seinfeld always reminds me just how long ago it was. I will say that I am happy some famously 90s things have not made a return (body suits and round sunglasses, I am looking in your direction,) but the last few years have definitely shown a revival of many 90s fashion favorites. Walking the streets of Brooklyn, you can’t help but notice an homage to the decade of Easy-E and Jane’s Addiction.
Treasury: Don Draper Approved
You know how I love the 50s/60s era, so I must also love MadMen by default. Check out today’s treasury in honor of my favorite, favorite Don Draper and crew.
Treasury: Mid-Century Mod
Have a look around tonight’s treasury, Mid Century Mod. I love all of these gorgeous Etsy items - whether vintage, new or repurposed. I feel like watching MadMen now.
Weekend Vintage: Merry Christmas
Santa was feeling awfully old-school this year and I am just loving it! I got so many great, vintage things for my little haus. Merry Christmas, indeed.

Not-vintage-but-beautiful Robbin's Egg Blue Teapot from Chantal
Twas the night before Christmas…
Happy, merry Christmas Eve everyone! I hope are getting to spend time with your nearest and dearest. Cheers!
Weekend Vintage: The MidMod LBD
The staple of every girl’s wardrobe is a go-to LBD. I found this adorable wiggle dress from Thrush, and decided to base the post around this fashion necessity.
Cold Cure = New ModCloth Shoes
Oh gosh - I LOVE these “Library Science” heels from N.Y.L.A (via Modcloth.) I love them so much that I got ‘em. I swear, ModCloth is such a dangerous site for me to visit. It always takes an incredible amount of self control to NOT spend every little penny there; alas, my self control and my immune system were weakened today. But you know what they say: the cure for a cold is cute shoes.
Anthropologie: The Realm of Mystics
I absolutely love the new catalog from Anthropologie. (I extra love them for printing on nice paper.) The theme is both magical and whimsical - or, in their words, visions of ethereal elegance.
Weekend Vintage: MadMen Halloween
An obvious favorite for Halloween costumes this year is MadMen. I’m kind of wishing I would have put together a MadMen themed Halloween party myself - how fun would that be?? Maybe we’ll just have to have a thematic cocktail party…hmm…interesting idea. Check out these Etsy finds - Joan would approve.
While you’re at it - you should TOTALLY “MadMen Yourself!” Love it.
